July 2016
I've bought a Syvecs IO-10 expander module for the race car, and this will be wired up in due course, to provide the additional channels for launch and traction control, as well as pneumatic gear changes. I bought it 2nd hand, and it looks easy enough to connect up.
Some pictures below from Blyton, last weekend.
The WSCC event at Blyton last weekend was a lot of fun, and I climbed the learning curve even higher.
It was wet and miserable on Saturday, and I had a spin in 2nd practice after touching a painted kerb with the rear tyre. No harm done, the track dried afer lunch and I finished 2nd in class after John Graham failed to record a time on either T1 or T2. On Sunday, we again had a heavy shower after first practice, to T1 was damp, and T2 and T3 were as dry as could be, times once again tumbled, and I #beatpete after his 2nd timed run was disqualified after he cross the white line at the finish. I had problems with gear selection for most of the weekend. Lacking any grip off the line, once wheel spin had set in, the dogs refused to disengage and I had to resort to using the clutch to get the car in to 2nd gear. I had no issues at all at Snetterton, but every run bar one was spoilt by poor starts.
